Artist Statement

My practice explores the relationship between material, perception, and space through sculpture, architecture, and design. Working across disciplines, I investigate how objects, patterns, and environments shape the way we observe, interpret the world.

Drawing from Persian geometry, traditional craftsmanship, and contemporary spatial thinking, I create works that connect cultural memory with material experimentation. Wood remains central to my practice, reflecting my family's woodworking tradition. Glass, mirrors, and light introduce reflection, transparency, and shifting perspectives, inviting viewers to reconsider the boundaries between reality and imagination.

Observation is the foundation of my work. Inspired by tools such as cameras, telescopes, and microscopes, I use apertures, geometry, and optical references as both physical elements and conceptual frameworks. These forms become instruments for exploring scale, perception, and the relationship between the individual and the surrounding environment.

Rather than treating sculpture, architecture, and design as separate disciplines, I see them as interconnected ways of thinking and making. Each project investigates how material and form can reveal new ways of experiencing space, encouraging moments of curiosity, reflection, and discovery.
